Do I Qualify?

Any person who currently possesses a bachelor's degree (or above) qualifies to take a CTE master's program assuming that you meet the qualifications set forth by the university selected and submitting your required paperwork in a timely fashion. You must first fill out the CTE application on our website, CTE will then submit your application to the respective university and the university will in turn send you an application packet. The process is an easy one.

Here are examples of requirements that universities may need from applicants:

National University Requires:

  1. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university with an cumulative G.P.A of 2.5 or higher*
  2. Applicants must complete a paper application and meet with an admissions advisor at the National University Henderson Center.
  3. Applicants must execute an enrollment agreement.
  4. Applicants must provide an official transcript verifying bachelor’s degree conferral.

    *Applicants who have an overall GPA between 2.49 and 2.0 should talk to their admissions advisor about other admissions options.

Sierra Nevada College requires:

  1. Applicants must be licensed CCSD teachers with a Bachelor’s degree.
  2. Applicants must provided official academic transcripts, letters of recommendations and a personal statement in addition to the application.

Southern Utah University requires:

  1. A paper application and nonrefundable $50 fee.
  2. Hand written letter of intent to be in one of the graduate programs.
  3. Two official transcripts from all institutions attende.
  4. GPA of 3.0 to 3.24 is acceptable with a passing MAT or GRE scored.
  5. Attendance at an orientation.

Touro University requires:

  1. A copy of official transcripts from all universities attended that shows baccalaureate degree.
  2. GPA of 3.25 or greater on last 60 semester hours of coursework.
  3. Copy of teaching certificate or verification from CCEA.
