Do I Qualify?

Any person who currently possesses a bachelor's degree (or above) qualifies to take a CTE master's program assuming that you meet the qualifications set forth by the university selected and submitting your required paperwork in a timely fashion. You must first fill out the CTE application on our website, CTE will then submit your application to the respective university and the university will in turn send you an application packet. The process is an easy one.

Lesley University Requires:

  1. Application for Admission
  2. Non refundable application fee $50
  3. Official Transcripts
  4. Two Letters of Recommendation
  5. Written Personal Statement 2-3 pages
  6. Teaching Certificate and/or license

National University Requires:

  1. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university with an cumulative G.P.A of 2.5 or higher*
  2. Applicants must complete a paper application and meet with an admissions advisor at the National University Henderson Center.
  3. Applicants must execute an enrollment agreement.
  4. Applicants must provide an official transcript verifying bachelor’s degree conferral.

    *Applicants who have an overall GPA between 2.49 and 2.0 should talk to their admissions advisor about other admissions options.

Nova Southeastern University requires:

  1. Completed NSU admission application packet to include Nevada Student Enrollment Agreement as well as the Discount Alliance Form (included in the admission packet.
  2. Official transcripts from all previously attended academic institutions. An official transcript indicating conferral of a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution is required.
  3. A minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) is required for all students. Applicants who do not meet the 2.5 CGPA requirement must submit Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores (a combined score of 1000 for the verbal and quantitative scales only).
  4. If the applicant does not meet the minimum 2.5 GPA or GRE score requirement, the applicant may enroll in a maximum of six (6) credit hours and must earn a grade of B or better in each course during the first term of enrollment for conditional admission. Students who do not earn a grade of B or better in each course will be subject to dismissal from the program.
  5. Valid NV permanent teaching license.
  6. Educational Leadership applicants must submit an official verification letter documenting a minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in a K-12 school. This letter must be provided by the applicant's school district.

Regis University requires:

Completed Online Application for Admission. We will waive your Application fee! Please use waiver code ECWCTE.

  1. Evidence of earned Bachelor’s Degree from a US Regionally Accredited College/University
  2. Official Transcript(s) from all previously attended institutions
  3. Minimum 2.75 GPA
  4. Copy of current teaching license or fingerprint card
  5. One observation Form from a person that has observed the applicant with children of appropriate age
  6. Formal essay
  7. Current Resume

Sierra Nevada College requires:

  1. Application for admission
  2. One-page, typewritten Purpose Statement (250 word minimum) "Describe your current leadership role and how you anticipate this program will enhance this role in the classroom and your community."
  3. Copy of teaching license (current)
  4. One official transcript showing a posted bachelor’s degree with an earned 3.0 grade point average (GPA).
  5. Official transcripts of any graduate coursework not shown on the bachelor’s transcript must also be submitted.
  6. One confidential professional letter of recommendation (Applicants with a GPA below a 3.0 are required to submit two).

Southern Utah University requires:

  1. A paper application and nonrefundable $50 fee.
  2. Hand written letter of intent to be in one of the graduate programs.
  3. Two official transcripts from all institutions attended.
  4. GPA of 3.0 to 3.24 is acceptable with a passing MAT or GRE score.
  5. Attendance at an orientation.

Touro University requires:

  1. A copy of official transcripts from all universities attended that shows baccalaureate degree.
  2. GPA of 3.25 or greater on last 60 semester hours of coursework or Miller's Analogy/GRE exam scores.
  3. Copy of teaching certificate or verification from CCEA.
  4. Three letters of recommendation.

Program benchmark and exit requirements are noted on each program outline, and may vary from program to program.
