Is financial aid available with the university?

Financial aid is available with all of our universities for qualifying master’s programs. Financial aid does not apply for our post-master’s programs, but there are several options for payment available. Find them on the program description pages.

What is the purpose of CTE?

CTE is a non-profit organization with the purpose of saving teachers and their families on master’s and post master’s programs.


If CTE is a non-profit organization, what philanthropic organizations do you help?

We have been instrumental in helping hundreds of teachers and students in their educational endeavors.


If I choose payroll deduction as my method of payment, will I pay any interest on the deductions?

No. Which means you may save thousands in interest by choosing payroll deductions and eliminating finance charges.


Who can use payroll deductions as method of payment for balance of tuition?

Only licensed teachers employed by the Clark County School District in the state of Nevada.

I paid for my program using payroll deductions. What do I need for my income tax records?

The most accurate record for income taxes is the CCSD payroll stubs for last year. Your CCSD payroll stubs are now available online at https://ess.ccsd.net


There is a lot of concern regarding the upcoming budget cuts. Should I continue with my educational advancement programs?

We have faced the challenge of a shrinking budget for the last four years. The school district and the State have agreed in past years that your educational advancement is a property right and has been left intact for both legal and moral reasons.


What happens if you fail a course?

If you fail a course for any reason, it is up you to make arrangements with the college in order to retake the course. The college will determine the tuition and when the course will be available. CTE and the university are under no obligation to provide you any tuition discounts on any retaken courses.


How do I pay off my balance in cash and stop my monthly/bi-weekly payments?

Use the "contact us" button on the CTE website and send in your request. We will contact you with a payoff amount.


How can I pay for my master's degree?

CTE offers several convenient payment options: We accept debit/credit card or payroll deductions (CCSD Licensed Employees). The remainder of your tuition balance may be paid as outlined on each program description sheet, and in the "Terms and Conditions". Financial Aid is available for qualifying programs with the university.


Why should I sign up through CTE to receive my master's degree or post-masters coursework?

CTE has negotiated with its university partners to bring you discounted tuition rates that are a compelling part of this convenient fast-track program.


How do I register for the master's program that I have selected?

It is a very easy process: simply click on "Apply Now" and fill out the CTE application. Once you have received an email confirmation that your application is complete you must fill out the college application. Click on the program which you have selected and select the link to the application. Complete and mail the application to the university. DO NOT MAIL THIS APPLICATION TO THE CTE OFFICE.


I'm wondering if the MAT or GRE are required for any of the master's degree programs offered through CTE?

Please see our "Do I Qualify?" page. Each university has different requirements.

I live outside of Nevada. Am I able to enroll in an online CTE program?

Absolutely. We are enrolling students from around the nation. All are welcome!


When I signed up for my master’s program, I needed to pay a $1500 down payment. Will this down payment go towards my program cost?

Yes. The $1500 allows one to secure a spot at the substantial offer posted and is deducted from the published program price.
Ex: Program Tuition Cost: $11,500 - $1500 down payment = Program Tuition Balance Due: $10,000.


When I signed up for my master’s program, I chose financial aid as my method of payment. How will this work?

It is simple; when you sign up for financial aid, you will contact the university and get the qualifying paperwork in order. Remember to get your financial aid approved well before the start of the first semester or the university may have to delay your start or make other arrangements with you in order to start the program on time.


I heard that the Silver State Schools Credit Union is offering loans for post-master's course work. How does this work?

It is very simple. Just give us a call at 697.0006, opt. 4. It only takes a phone call to the credit union from our CTE office and you can have a secured loan in a matter of 24 business hours.


Do you have to be a CCSD employee in order to participate and take advantage of the services that CTE provides?

No! We have students from all over the nation participating in our master’s and post-master’s programs.


I would like to know the balance due on my account.

It’s easy. Just click on the "My Account" at the top of the homepage and enter the requested information. Click on the payments tab.
